IsDB and BanQu partner to deploy a solution in record time for the IsDB Global Coordination Platform for COVID-19 Phase I emergency response.
In a bias toward action and leadership during unprecedented times, Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) and BanQu Inc. teams were busy in March and April of 2020.
Dr. Bandar Hajjar, the President of IsDB Group and his team began working with their member countries to provide immediate funding and resources for COVID-19. Their “Respond Restore Restart” action plan is not only innovative but practical, as it enables near-term crisis support and long-term sustainability for countries needing to tackle this pandemic fast while creating long term economic resilience. The story states:
“The Programme envisages a holistic approach in the short, medium and long term, accommodating priorities beyond the immediate and emergency response to the health sector, while putting Member Countries back on the path of economic recovery through restoring livelihoods, building resilience and kick-starting economic growth.”
BanQu’s blockchain-enabled network has been deployed across 25+ member countries, from Senegal to Tajikistan, Mozambique and Mauritania. BanQu offers unparalleled traceability and transparency in connecting certified and approved suppliers to health, food security and community agencies to bring much needed resources to these nations.
